An Analysis of Jung´s Psychological Types, Sasang Constitutions and the Personality Traits of Undergraduates and Comparisons of the Three

Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this stady was to figure out the relations among Jung´s psychological types, Sasang constitutions and personality traits.
Four hundred and fourteen university students were tested with the MBTI Korean version, QSCC 11 and NEO-P-I-R Korean version.
The results were analysed by ANOVA, Duncan post hoc multiple comparisons, and Pearson Chi-Square with Spss 9.0.
The following questions were asked in this study.
1) How do the personality traits differ according to Jung´s psychological types?
Are there any differences in the personality traits in accordance with Jung´s psychological types?
2) Is there any relationship between Sasang constitutions and Jung´s psychological types?
3) Are there any differences in these personality traits in accordance with Sasang constitutions?
The results of this study are as follow
1) Personality traits in accordance with Jung´s psychological types by MBTI(Briggs and Myers type indicator) have differences in factors of N : Neuroticism, E : Extroversion, O : Openness, C :Conscientiousness. But, they show mixed trends of personality traits in accordance with Jung´s psychological types.
2) Sasang constitutions does not show any trend in Jung´s psychological types according to theoretical background.
3) By using the Sasang constitutions certain personolity traits can be ascertained. In other words, they have differences in personality traits
